New Logo
I liked my fiddeling enough to make it a universal change. The logo no longer has a white border.
Also, I've changed the guestbook formating.

I've updated all of the links I can find. Also, I made some changes to the homepage.
I've created a new guestbook on the server. I still have to change the links, but it'll be us momentarily. Some aesthetic changes are still pending, but the functionality we've been missing is there. Tell me what you think!
I fixed a link on the noun page to the School House Rock lyrics. The page had been moved, so I found a new source.
I just need to fix a port forewarding ishue, and we'll be up. Expect this sometime this afternoon. Thanks for checking!
Kubuntu is installed successfully! Now I just need to get Apache and soforth up and move the files back.
Within the hour (to be specific, as soon as the backup's done), I will be upgradeing the server from Mandriva LE 2005 to Kubuntu 5.10 ("Breezy Badger" vershion) for the reasons stated below. This will temporarily interupt access to the site. If it looks like it's going to go beyond a few hours, I will try to set up a clone, but I expect it to be done before that. Sorry for the inconvienience, but it'll pay off!
Ok, we're back.
In about 15 minutes, we'll be going down for some short maintinance. We should be back after an hour or so. Thanks!
If you noticed our site was down yesterday, don't wory: I had to reboot the server, which had managed to get bogged down. The disruption lasted less than five minites, for once.
The server will be going down RIGHT NOW for routene maintenence. Sorry, but its got to happen. It'll be back up in a couple of hours.
We're up again! I just need to undo a re-direct to this page, which will take under 20 minites. In the mean time, you're more than welcome to click here to accsses the page via our IP address.
Apparantly, our internet conection has come down -- and just as I finally had time to look at verbs, too. Unfortuneitly, I'm on vacation in Ft. Lauderdale at the moment, so the conection won't get fixed untill New Year's Eve at the earliest. Sorry for the inconvieniance!
I installed the batery backup yesterday evening that will protect the server itself. This will not allow accsses to the site during power outages, but it will allow the site to come up imediatly after power is restored. I am looking in to a second backup to protect the router and modem.
I will be instaling an Uninteruptable Power Suply tomoro, which may cause some brief interuption of service, not exceding an hour or two. During that time, I will set a redirect to this page. Hopefully, this will reduce down time overall as my area is subject to short power outages relativaly often for suburban USA. I'll post here on the refults of this instalation as soon as it's done.
At last, our website has been restored. The problem, if you're interested, was with the SSL certificate - or rather, the lack thereof...
Looks like I spoke too soon...
"The conection was refused when atempting to contact www.istaromar.com."
The upgrade went off without a hitch!!! Now I just have to make shure I don't get used to computers working as advertised. Anyway, we should be on-line again in 20 minites.
At 10:15 AM Eastern Standard Time today, I wil begin upgrading the Istaromar server from Mandrake Linux 10.0 to its successor, Mandriva Linux Limited Edition 2005. This will temporarily render Istaromar unavalable. During this time, www.istaromar.com will point here. Thank you for your patiance.
After a lot of work, our network has finally been restored. Istaromar should be avalable in aproxamitly 34 minuits, when the nameservers reload. We apologize for the inconveneance.
